The Nightingale Club
Kent Street. B5 6RD
Open Thursday and Friday late till 4am and Saturday’s late till 6am, The Nightingale Club is one of the best places in Birmingham to dance away to commercial pop hits and queer pop hits.
It’s known as the beating heart of LGBT nightlife in Birmingham, a party spread over three floors, four rooms, and 5 bars. Thursday night is free entry before 11pm, and there’s always something mad going on, like fire breathers and the best cheesy music. Thursday night also has loads of drinks specials, like the £1 cocktails on offer.

Snobs
Smallbrook Queensway. B5 4HX
A haven for lovers of Indie Rock’n’roll, Snobs has been banging out the alternative tunes since way back in 1972.
Found just a five minute walk away from New Street station, it’s central and easy to find, and inside is an amazing atmosphere, great tunes, and tasty drinks deals.
The big Snobs events each week are Big Wednesdays, Rehab Fridays, and Loaded Saturdays. There’s also a range of special one-off events throughout the year, so keep your eyes peeled.
Bambu
Wrottesley Street. B5 4RT
Friday and Saturday night’s at Bambu both run until 4 the next morning for those of you after a big night out. It’s a party bar, a cocktail bar and a club where you want to dress up to impress.
It’s a glamorous destination in Birmingham, as you enter the elegant drape booths and venture outside into the Moroccan-style garden. The music at Bambu is a mix of RnB classics, soca, HipHop, and Afrobeats. The big event nights are spectacular and like nothing else you’ll find on a night out in Birmingham.

Lab 11
Trent Street. B5 5NL
In the heart of Digbeth, Lab 11 hosts the warehouse parties to end all warehouse parties. It’s an industrial powerhouse of light shows, smoke machines, and some of the best techno and house music around.
It’s one of the best clubs around when you’re looking at the nightlife in Birmingham. It’s a gritty and urban style, set between the railway arches of Digbeth. The weekly events are superb, but some of the events are massive. If you like to dance to house, drum and bass, reggae, and dub, Lab 11 will have the club night on for you!
Popworld Birmingham
Broad Street. B1 2HJ
A late-night bar and club that is known and loved across the country, Popworld in Birmingham serves up the classic cheese and pop nostalgia that we all know and love! Open Monday to Saturday, from 10pm till 3am the next morning, it’s the place to go with your friends to dance under the disco ball. Drinks are cheap, the floors are sticky, and the theme is retro cheese. There’s no way you can go into Popworld and not come out smiling, one of the best night’s out in Birmingham for students!
The Sunflower Lounge
Smallbrook Queensway. B5 4EG
The closest you’ll get to a New York dive bar away from the Big Apple, The Sunflower Lounge has been serving up indie beats and a live music venue for over 20 years.
The live venue has seen visits from artists such as Wolf Alice, Amazons, Foals, Dua Lipa, and Rat Boy over the years and is one of the key locations of the Birmingham music scene.
It’s also a great nightclub for after hours, with DJs playing everything from indie music to funk, reggae, Hip Hop, jazz, soul, house, techno, and more.
