The perfect addition to our guide to Bristol takeaways, Oowee Vegan is the ultimate restaurant to order some delicious plant based food. This place is renowned for their dirty burgers in particular, with our favourite being the Smash burger with a plant-based beef patty, relish, mustard, gherkins and lettuce. Their extensive menu also features dishes like loaded fries, popcorn chicken, tater tots, mac n cheese. There’s a dish for everyone to love, regardless of if you’re vegan or not. Prices are good value at this fast food eatery, with a lunch time deal of a burger, fries and a drink for £6.95 - we’ll take that! We did say our guide to Bristol takeaways would feature flavours everyone will love, didn’t we? If you’re a student living in the city in need of a regular spot to order from, Baba Ganoush Kitchen should deffo be considered. This funky restaurant offers up a true taste of the Middle East with delicacies such as hummus, wraps, falafel and spicy potatoes to mention a few. Everything on offer here is veggie or vegan and the combinations of vegetables combined with the dressings are just next level. After a busy week, order their Jerusalem Mezze with baba ganoush, spicy potatoes, dolmades, falafel and salad. Taco Station is a takeaway which celebrates, yep you guessed it… Tacos. Your mouth will be watering with their exceptional food like their Pork Al Pastor Taco with pork belly and tenderloins which have been marinated for 24 hours - wow we’re dreaming of this one! That’s not all they do though, they also serve up burgers, quesadillas, burritos, loaded nachos and loaded fries. If you’re looking for somewhere to push the boat out and try somewhere new, Taco Station is certainly worth ordering from with their motto of Mexican soul food. The only thing is, they’re open Wednesday until Sunday so you’re a bit restricted when it comes to ordering. 9. Rock Salt

If you can’t decide between ordering a Chinese or Indian takeaway then get the best of both worlds by ordering from Rock Salt. The unique concept of this Bristol takeaway means you can combine the perfect taste of both Indian and Chinese cuisine. There’s nothing stopping you from ordering salt and pepper chicken with onion bhajis, what a mixture! This takeaway champions Berlin inspired kebabs and is somewhere you’ll look forward to ordering from week after week thanks to their hit menu. For us, the dish of choice has gotta be the Hoba Full House with chicken, spicy beef and cauliflower with garlic harissa mayo, tahini, cucumber, pickled cabbage, pickled onions topped with crushed peanuts. That’s not all, they also serve up a variety of other takeaway food such as their Shawarma Boxes, dirty fries, hash browns and oyster mushrooms. Trust us when we say, the kebabs here are without a doubt the best you will find in Bristol. Simply order through UberEats to get it served straight to your door (well, you’ll probably have to walk down to your accommodation reception but still).
