The Queens Arms is a pub in Plymouth that has a welcoming atmosphere and is located in The Barbican – a 5-minute drive from our student accommodation in Plymouth.

They serve excellent food you definitely need to taste all day 7 days a week with entertainment provided.

They have live music and singers throughout the week – nothing better than eating and listening to some music after a hard day

2. Crown & Anchor

Crown & Anchor is a Plymouth pub with friendly staff and is located in the heart of The Barbican in the city centre.

They have a great range of drinks and homemade food for you to choose from – served all day every day, make sure you give it a try.

They also have a beer garden for those nice sunny days – having a few pints of real ale sitting in the sun is what it’s all about.

On top of that Crown & Anchor has live music creating a lively and fun atmosphere – a fun way to spend a Friday evening.

They also have other amenities such as free WiFi for you to save on your data usage – we know you love to scroll through Insta & TikTok, even when out with the mates.

3. The Fisherman’s Arms

The Fisherman’s Arms is a village pub close to The Barbican and is a 3 min drive away from our student accommodation.

It is a country pub with an open fireplace, candlelit tables and comfy seating so you are nice and cosy. They offer a fantastic range real ales so even if you’re not a big fan, be sure to go and try it out.

It’s a dog-friendly venue and it even has a resident dog called Mr Jones who is a Miniature Schnauzer – how cute!

They also have a fine selection of cocktails and mocktails for you to have a taste (or a few… tastes) – so if you are a fan of cocktails you need to check the menu out. The Fisherman’s Arms is open 7 days a week from 12pm.

4. The Bank

The bank is an elegant pub in Plymouth that is only a short walk from our student accommodation and is a great place to go for some local beers.

It used to be a former bank (hence the name), and now it’s a gorgeous venue featuring a heated garden – as you know the UK isn’t known for its warm weather even if it is summer – so we bet you’ll love this little touch.

They also have live music to keep you entertained and karaoke nights if you fancy yourself a bit of a singing star. Make sure you head on down, you are bound to have a blast.

Open from 11am every day where they have an excellent menu with a range of things to choose from no matter the time of day. You don’t want to miss out.

5. Noah’s Ark

Noah’s Ark is a community pub which is located in the heart of Plymouth city centre.

The pub has a great atmosphere ensuring you are relaxed but entertained – a fab way to spend an evening after a long day at university.

The Gipsy Moth is a family run pub named after the most famous yacht in the world – Gipsy Moth IV.

The Minerva Inn is Plymouth’s oldest pub – since the 1950s, which is close to the city centre, and only a 3 min drive to our student accommodation.

They have live music nights 3 times a week for you to enjoy whilst you have a pint. They also have a free jam night every Thursday – so why not put yourself out there?

Minerva Inn’s quiz nights are also famous around Plymouth – head on down on Monday night and test your knowledge, you could make it your weekly get together with your friends.
